Writing Tips from Songwriters
If you've worked on developing your writing as a craft, you may have heard of the rule of three. This essentially refers to the use of three words or phrases in a sentence, which makes the cadence of the sentence sound more natural and pleasing to the reader's ear and brain. Here are a couple of examples:
He ran to the door, flung it open and dashed down the stairs.
The werewolf slunk forward, teeth bared and ears pinned back.
