Shabby Chic Tag

I have been doing more scrapbooking since I redid my scraproom last fall, and would like to share more of my scrapping on my blog. Most of my fellow croppers tease me because I distress everything. I've been reading a blog - the Shabby Tea Room - that has beautiful, elegant designs that fit right in with the distressed look I like. They have a design team and I've decided to apply - if you don't submit, you can't win, right?!

I love tags on my designs, as frames for my titles or simply as accents. I inked this tag (Basic Grey, Stella Ruby tags) with Ranger Distress Ink in vintage photo, added a bit of leftover fiber to the top, then used a double die cut that I cut with my Cricut to add the title. I finished the tag off with a couple of Prima flowers and a couple of Boxer brads. I am using the tag as a title for a page about my scrapbooking trip to St. Charles earlier this month. The entire page was inspired by a beautiful teapot on the Shabby Tea Room blog - I loved the curves and the colors of the teapot, which is why I chose this particular paper for the base of this layout..

Anyway, here's my tag:
