What 3 things would you do if you couldn't fail - TAKE TWO
A couple of readers responded when I asked "What 3 things would you do if you couldn't fail?" It's time to check in!
Olgy said she would:
1. Write best selling novels full time. How's it going, Olgy? Are you scheduling time for your writing (BIW will be here soon!)?
2. Form young adult reading groups through Children Come First. Hmmm . . . did I remember that correctly? Reading groups, or writing groups? Have you given this more thought? Considering maybe starting one group as a test group?
3. Lose weight. Ha! Need to do that myself. I'm currently trying the Special K Twice a Day plan. But I think I ruined that when I ate that Hershey's bar earlier today. Do you still want to lose weight? If yes - what is one thing you can change, either in diet or exercise, that will move you towards your goal?
Lynn said that she would:
1. Quit her job & devote 100% of her time to building her own business. Lynn, what have you been doing to move towards this? I know you got your website up and running. Have you ever taken a day off, or even an afternoon off of your "paying" job to focus on the planning for your new business? If you haven't, consider it. It might give you a psychological boost to allow yourself to work on your own business during traditional work time.
2. Raise German Shepherds and Doxies. Lynn, have you given your puppies the requisite tummy rubs today? :o)
3. Take a trip to Egypt. Lynn, we're going to make this trip one of these days! In the meantime, take a virtual vacation and search for hotels. Where are we going to stay when we get to go?
I really appreciate both of you responding to my earlier post. I really want this website to be available to help women reach their full potential. And I see a lot of potential in both of you. Let's help each other through this, and we will all benefit!
Happy goal-reaching,
Elle

Lori,
I have rubbed the pups' bellies today. And it was as gratifying for me as it was for them (well - almost!)...
I've also done some "regrouping" at Among Friends. Re-worked the website. Updated some materials. Next step? Actually, physically taking myself out into public to promote the products... Now THAT's a big step. But it's the next logical building block toward my action plan.
Ahhh...EGYPT... I will build our virtual vacation. Need to create a stronger sense of urgency to that dream.
And, I can proudly report that I've accomplished a dream that I've held for many years, just this past week - my husband and I bought our first Cadillac. There were a lot of action steps along the way to reach that goal, but it happened exactly as you describe: ONE STEP AT A TIME. And, surprisingly, it happened a little sooner than we expected. It's been such an ego boost to know that we made it happen.
AND . . . if we can make that dream come true, we can make the rest of them fall into place, as well!
Keep moving forward, Lori - I follow your progress and am so EXCITED by what I see!
Lunch on Monday. Huh...I think that's how this whole thing started!
