Under The Tuscan Sun
I don't usually take the time to
sit down and watch a movie during the week, but tonight I did. Under
the Tuscan Sun was on and that is hands down my favorite movie. Of
course, there's the fact that Francesca is a writer. That's always a
plus in a movie, in my opinion. And she's divorced. I can identify with
that lost feeling she's dealing with. And she leaves all the mess and
pain behind her to start a new life in a new country, but finds that
it's not quite so easy to just leave the pain behind. Loneliness has a
way of following it's victim. But she puts her heart and soul into
rebuilding her life, and does quite a good job of it.
My favorite part of the movie is where Francesca finds her blonde friend and exclaims, "Ladybugs! Lots and lots of ladybugs!" That really is the way life seems to work - you work and struggle and yearn for something, only for IT to arrive when you least expect it.
