Up and Running
Wow! This is so exciting! My
journey as a writer began many years ago, but the trip has been one
that has given me a lot of fodder for my muse to play with.
I have been writing since I was . . . well, probably 11 or 12 at least. In high school, I wrote a couple of short stories to enter in contests and had two of the short stories published, one in Missouri Writes 1985 and the other in Missouri Writes 1986. Then, it was off to college and the "real world", where my dreams of writing the Great American Novel were quickly traded for the harsh reality of going to school full time, working part-time and, for the second half of my college career, being a wife. I continued to journal, usually sporadically, but completely shelved my dreams of writing until the early 1990s.
I was working full-time. My secretary mentioned that she was a writer, and that romance was her genre of choice. She encouraged me and I began to write. We immediately noticed that our writing styles were very similar, and we embraced the idea of writing as a team. We alternated chapters, researched together, and even attended a writing conference for romance writers. It was going quite well, until my life began to fall apart. And that is a story for another day.
Enjoy my site and blog, and please, let me know if you see anything I can do to improve things here. For you, the reader, are the one that makes this all worth while.
Happy Reading,
Elle
